Zheng Liu is a PhD candidate in Management atQueen’s University, Smith School of Business. His research interest isempirical corporate finance, textual analysis and innovation.

His joined paper with Ning Zhang and Michael Welker– “Lost profit” has been presented in McGill Accounting Research Conference and8th Annual McMaster Accounting Research Symposium.

内容简介：

This workshop talks about how textual analysis isapplied in current accounting research. We will go through five mainapplication in current study：readability, target phrases, sentiment analysis, topic modeling anddocument similarity.We will also get a basic idea of how to do textual analysiswith python and do some basic coding during the workshop.
